How Often Should You Post Blogs?

Expert bloggers and bloggers alike give varied recommendations on how often you should post your blogs. However, the majority of expert bloggers pretty much give this recommendation: The more you post blogs, the more exposure you’ll get. They all pretty much give advice for you to post blogs with interesting content as often as you possibly can.

In the article “5 Simple Steps That’ll Help You Determine How Often You Need To Blog”, by Neil Patel, he say’s: “You need to crank up your posting frequency to hundreds per day for achieving success as a blogger.

In the Optimized Copywriting article “5 Reasons You Should Post Content Regularly”, by Aditya Mishra, Aditya say’s: Ask any SEO professional about the best tip to boost the SEO of your website, and he or she will tell you to post content regularly. It’s true that there are some benefits to posting content regularly.

No matter who the experts are, they all recommend other things that could be done to make your frequency of posting more effective. Read each article to gain this valuable knowledge.

Obviously, I’m no expert, yet. But I think how many times you post blogs depend on what and how much you have to say. If you are up in age and thirty years behind as I am, you may have plenty to say. You may be young and think you don’t have enough content to post on a regular basis. At the same time you may be young and all you do is talk everybody’s head off. Well for anybody who talk a lot, I think they would have a lot to write about as well.

It’s up to you to evaluate yourself and determine what works best for you. But by all means, do your best to at least post one blog a week to get you started. And whatever you do, never, ever stop sharing your content. The world is waiting to hear your story.

My Weekly Featured Song To You- “Get Up” by Mary Mary

I don’t know what it takes to get you started, but if this song “Get Up” doesn’t do it, then we just might have to get a defibrillator (heart shocker) for you.

Caution: If you are sitting or lying down, “Get Up” before starting to listen to this song. I don’t want you to break something by jumping up when the beat hits you.

This song is not only great to listen to, but it’ll make you do a check of yourself. Read the lyrics if you don’t already know them and imagine this song being song to you for personal reasons. Gut Check.

Get Up
Layin’ low
Rest n’ pause
Sleeping long
Slow motion
Gonna do
Should of, could of, would of done
Excuses
What are you afraid of?
Don’t you know what you’re made of?
One of God’s greatest creations
Take this invitation now
Get up
Cause you can’t stop
Get up
Got a lot to do
Twenty four hours
Almost gone
Get up
Don’t sit there
Get up
If you wanna get there
Clocks don’t stop and
Time won’t wait
He said
She said
They said
What do you say?
It’s your dreams
Your choice
Your time
Your life
So don’t you
Don’t you
Miss it
What are you afraid of?
Don’t you know what you’re made of?
One of God’s greatest creations
Take this invitation now
Get up
Cause you can’t stop
Get up
Got a lot to do
Twenty four hours
Almost gone
Get up
Don’t sit there
Get up
If you wanna get there
Clocks don’t stop and
Time won’t wait
Welcome to the rest of your life
From now on, just try
To live more, want more, work a little harder
Dance more, laugh more, be a little smarter
Hug a little longer, love a little stronger
You’ve been down but now it’s time to
Get up
Cause you can’t stop
Get up
Got a lot to do
Twenty four hours
Almost gone
Get up
Don’t sit there
Get up
If you wanna get there
Clocks don’t stop and
Time won’t wait
Get up
Cause you can’t stop
Get up
Got a lot to do
Twenty four hours
Almost gone
Get up
Don’t sit there
Get up
If you wanna get there
Clocks don’t stop and
Time won’t wait

I believe many of us can find ourselves in at least one of the above sentences, if not more or all. So, how did it feel getting up and into the groove? Don’t just “Get Up”, “Stay Up.”

I Feel Like Such A Hypocrite- Let Me Tell You Why

Just two hours ago I posted a blog, “You” Get Me Started”, and now I have such a hard time getting started, again. I have read several articles about various things I’d like to share with you, but my mind is like a jigsaw puzzle. My thoughts are all over the place and I just cannot focus. So I decided to share my thoughts with you about what I’m experiencing at the present moment with hopes of getting the train back on the track.

This is crazy. I don’t know what the problem is, but I think I have an idea what it is. I believe it’s the work of the enemy. The enemy I’m speaking of is the devil. I think when we have things of value to share with others that can potentially be life changing or God is setting us up for a blessing, the devil steps in to try to confuse us and get us off track. So as I said, I thought I’d just start writing and see where it takes me.

Right now at this present moment my mind is at least focused on me sharing this experience with you and not all over the place. I am trying to convince myself that as long as this continues that I’m cheating myself and you of valuable information that could be beneficial to us both, and by no means do I want to do that.

My God! If you only knew all of the different things God has allowed me to experience in my lifetime that could be beneficial to us, especially at a time such as now. There are so many do’s and don’ts that have occurred in my life. And the reason for those do’s and don’ts is “You.” One “don’t” that I have right now is, don’t let the devil steal your joy. DEVIL YOU ARE A LIAR AND THE TRUTH IS NOT IN YOU. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO STOP THIS GOD-GIVEN MISSION BECAUSE PEOPLE THAT WE DON’T KNOW ARE WAITING TO READ OUR BLOGS. OUR BLOGS WILL BE LIFE-CHANGING TO PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD. GET BEHIND ME SATAN.

Wow! I can literally feel my mind clearing more and more as I continue to write and think about you. Thank you for being there to listen, or should I say, to read. If you feel yourself falling into the same rut, then start writing a blog for me to read so the chains will be lifted form you the same way they’re being lifted from me. Man do I feel better! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you.

“You” Get Me Started

On your Mark, Get Ready, Get Set, Go! What get’s you started everyday on your many endeavors? Many of us get up at some point of the day to go to work, to work out, to hustle, to go to school, to volunteer our services, etc. Whatever we set out to do, there’s a reason behind it. My motivation is “You.”

When I write I am motivated by you to find relevant content that can be of some value to your life. This content may come in the form of a personal testimony, a song, a video, a business idea, something new that you I learn or content from other people’s work or experiences. As I do my research and come across material that get me excited, I want to share it with you, so we both can enjoy the excitement.

According to Time Magazine’s article written by: Jenny Santi, “The Secret To Happiness Is Helping Others.”  What make our online presence and giving so remarkable is the fact that we can reach many more people in a shorter period of time. No matter what your gift to the world may be, it’ll never do anything to affect change if you keep it to yourself. Luke 6:38 NLT say’s, “Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full–pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.” Don’t let your motivation to give be to receive something back, but be assured that what comes around, goes around. This the process of reciprocity.

If you don’t think you have anything to offer to others, then sit back and think about the mistakes you’ve made in life and the consequences that occurred behind those bad decisions. You can share those experiences, and what you did that caused the outcomes to be mistakes, and how the mistakes affected your life. You can also think about the positive things that have happened in your life as results of you making the right decisions and how these positive decisions made your life better. One of the best things about us sharing online is, as long as we keep our online presence active, our shares can happen time after time again for a life time. Other people can continue to share what we started, even after we are dead and gone.

If you truly want to make a difference in this life time, find what make you click and get you started, and do just that, Get Started.

Watch Out! I Just Re-Learned Something New- How To Add Images To Your Blog

Photo by Rakicevic Nenad on Pexels.com

I noticed almost everybody else had pretty pictures added to their blogs, and I didn’t. I felt as though my blog was just too plain. So again, I started clicking various toggles. Long story short. I looked over my site to see if I could find out how to add some pretty pics to my sites. Ding dong, the doorbell rang, or the light came on. I looked up top at all of those symbols and saw +Add-top left under your title. I clicked on it and it gave me several choices:

  1. Media
  2. Media from Google
  3. Free Photo Library
  4. Contact form
  5. Payment Button

Out of the five choices which one do you think is the right choice for to add Images (pics)? If you chose #3 Free Photo Library, you are correct.

To add Images (pics) to your blog while writing:

  1. Position cursor where you want to add Image (pic)
  2. Click on +Add icon top left- Under The Title Of Your Blog
  3. You will then see a magnifying glass image with Search for free photos…. L-click inside this box
  4. Type in the type of image you’re looking for, i.e., people, animals, buildings, flowers, etc.
  5. Once the choices come up, scroll down until you find the Image you want to use and click on it.
  6. Go to bottom right hand corner and click “Insert”
  7. Once you click “insert”, you’ll be taken back to your blog and the Image will be inserted into your blog.
  8. If you want to make the Image smaller- L-click on the image and  very small boxes will appear on each of the corners of Image.
  9. Place you cursor on either one of the small boxes and drag it up or down until you are satisfied with the size of the Image and L-click. Repeat until satisfied with Image size Tadow, you just entered an Image to your blog post.

Note: when you click on the Image, you will also see other choices that you can make in reference to the Image.

Now that I have Adding Free Images down to a science, you’ll start to see pretty pics on most of my blogs from this day forth. I hope this little bit of information will be helpful to you.

I Just Made A Big Mistake

I logged into my WordPress Site this morning with the intent of writing about a specific topic that was on my mind. Instead of going directly to “Write”, I started clicking on various toggles. Big mistake! I clicked the other toggles with good intentions of learning more about WordPress. I then found myself reading other people’s blogs to gain even more knowledge from my fellow writers.

Then when it was time for me to start writing I was confused. I had so much going on inside my head because I had just read tons of great material that was very beneficial to me, but at the wrong time. There are tons of very intelligent writers on the WordPress Platform with tons of helpful information if you want to gain insight and ideas about anything and/or make yourself a better writer. That wasn’t the right time for me to do any other research other than about my topic at hand.

STAY FOCUSED!

I normally start my writing by at least writing out the title to that particular blog post. Next if there’s research to do for my post, I then start researching. Most of the time I already have my research saved for my post. If I have the research already saved I still go back and read major parts of the information so I won’t post false content. If I do any additional research I always view other content that has nothing to do with my post. Now let me show you how my mind work if I start to read irrelevant information after starting my blog post or typing out the title. I immediately get back to researching or writing because my mind is set to my topic as soon as I type it. I shared this because I know in many cases many of us need to stay focused on the chore at hand and don’t need any other distractions.

You have to find out what work for you and what doesn’t work for you. I highly encourage you to always do these three things:

  1. Do research for your work if research is needed.
  2. Always read other writers blogs to gain more insight for your writing career. But choose the right time to do so.
  3.  Find out what work best for you to make you a better writer, i.e., when, where, how & why.

No matter what work for you or what doesn’t work, CONTINUE TO WRITE. I wish you much success in your many endeavors.

No Resolutions- “Commitments”

Stop setting yourself up for failure, again. Do not make any New year’s Resolutions this year. Instead, be serious about what it is you’d like to accomplish or change in the upcoming year 2019, and “COMMIT” yourself to it.

A resolution is defined as: a firm decision to do or not to do something.

A commitment is defined as: the state or quality of being dedicated to a cause, activity, etc.

Making a resolution is the firm decision that you make toward your dreams or goals, which is only a thought process which doesn’t require any action. But when you make a commitment, you have selected to commit yourself to accomplishing your dreams and goals, which involves you taking action. We all have good intentions of doing many things. Until we actually get off the couch and engage ourselves in what we’d like to do, we’ll go from year to year getting ready.

According to PsychCentral’s article, “New Year’s Resolution: Good Intentions or Real Commitments?”, written by Marie Hartwell-Walker, Ed. D., people have been making resolutions since as far back as the 1600’s. Read this article and use the strategies that are given so you want find yourself at the end of next year in the exact same spot that you’re in now. If you see now that you’re in the same position or condition this year that you were in this time last year, then maybe you aren’t at your point of desperation. If this is you, I advise you to listen to this story.

Don’t be like the dog in the story, just sitting and continually making promises and excuses. Get up and take action because you have all of us behind you.
